self indexer for star progressive?
« on: August 23, 2012, 09:59:50 pm »
Is there a self indexer available for a Star progressive press? I just finished taking my old Star apart and cleaning everything after not using it for over 35 yrs. I'm a little spoiled from using my Hornady Lock-n-Load AP which is self indexing, and would like to know if such an accessory exists and if it's worth making the change.
Thanks

There are several Indexers for the Star, The best one that I have found is the "Moon Indexer" and they are available at SB Sales and Distributing.

www dot sbdistributing dot com

That will get You to their Home page, Then look on the left side of the page for "Star Accessories" , Left click on it and You are There.

I have a moon indexer, not particularly cheap but beautifully made and they work perfectly...worth the money I think.

I think there is a typo in the above referenced link.  It should be

I agree the Ray's Moon indexer is pretty good.  I have one and although it is a pain to clear a jam at times, it works well and a labor saver.

I agree with the guys above, I have a couple of the Moon
Indexers and their Case Kicker's and they are expensive but,
well worth the cost, they are very well made and work really well.
