I did it again - Just bought a couple more Stars
« on: October 16, 2016, 07:13:00 pm »
Hi!
Just wanted to share with the community that I just purchased a couple more Star machines, one that I believe is a Star Progressive, and a Star sizer. The sizer looks like new and shows almost no signs of use. I bought the reloader mainly because of the extras, it has what I believe to be the M-A Systems eject ease and an auto indexer I'm not familiar with. It also came with a Hulme case feeder.
Can anyone shed some light on what kind of auto indexer that came with this press?

I may be wrong but the Indexer looks homemade.
Just My 2.
Both units look very clean and fresh. Good luck with them.

Good Shooting

I can tell you it is not a Brewster, Hoyer, O'Niel or Moon indexer.   It very well could be a home made one, but it looks like they did a nice job.

Star, the original blue Press.  Made by machinist, not machines.

If it's home made, it sure is nicely made. A few more pictures, the round counter is a nice touch.

Second Pic. seems to have some primers left in the primer magazine socket.

Lindy,
you're right, there were a few primers left in the primer magazine socket. Going to take the press apart soon and give it some TLC.

The M-A Systems eject ease seems to work well. Does anyone know if they're still available?

The company is long gone. Units are out there. I picked up a new in the box Roto-Ease and Eject-Ease a couple of years ago. I'm sure there are dozens owned by members of this forum. Place a WTB ad in the classifieds if you are looking for another one.
