I see a lot on eBay that was apparently bought at a estate sale or some similar venue. They dont know enough to get all of the parts  and will not communicate with buyers .

One very minor question, what caliber ?

Do you have a list with asking price for what you have to sell ?
What dies are in the extra tool heads ?

Star Reloaders / Shell plate

Found a shell plate in a bag of parts  , powder  reservoir,  primer mags etc . She'll plate is under marked , measures about  .388 with digital calipers .  38 split feels very loose , 9mm is tight .
What is it ?

Go to your favorite reloading manual and compare case dimensions for each . You probably will answer your own question .

Cheers

I have always preferred bushing bars . Have Holme and aftermarket brass but like the bushing bars .

Good to hear you use Remington , as I quit using them a long time ago . Too much problems with out of round issue. One or two hang ups in the primer tube per 100 . This created a mess in my Star . Also found one without an anvil and one with two anvils . These were not in the same 1000.  All large primers .

Last time I checked tool heads do not have calibers , only dies do .

I have always found that Remington  45 ACP brass works best with the bullets that it was reloaded with ( Remington) . If my memory serves me right the Remington jacketed bullets were .4515"  .

Kinda funny ,I have only broken one in a a lot of loading . Some time after I started shooting competitive I started saving spent primers as a novelty,  have a three gallon bucket full . It was a spent primer inside the case that broke my pin .

I use a tiny bit of anti seize or never seize because if it dries out it still works.

1- Excelon is in fact the trade name for Star plastic powder magazines . The last time I tried to find it the manufacturer no longer makes it in that size . It is clear PVC tubing , not pipe.
As for powder I have 3or 4 15 lb  Bullseye cans (great for brass storage )and 4 8 lb cans that I have run through my 1980 Star and have never had a problem. That is about 175000 not counting the 4 lb cans that I used.
The only thing that I can think of is moisture.
