Thanks KLW, I think the ten cav would be great. A  brand new four cavity would be nice also.

 Steve, PM sent.  tt

Star Reloaders / Re: Star Reloader Indexing?

Without attachments, the shell plate is rotated by hand.  The same is true on both Universal and Progressive models. tt

Are you using the follower rod?  I haven't seen it mentioned.  If not, the action of the machine might flip the primers.  tt

Try StarReloaders.com and go to the "Manuals" button at the top of the page.  There you will find complete operating instructions and schematics for the machine.

Hi Hemitom, did you get the Case Kicker too? If so, do you like it? Sorry for all the questions but youth wants to know.  tt

Thanks guys.  I didn't mention that the lockup was also on indexing.  I would bump the lever and then bump it again to release and go though with the indexing. tt

Star Reloaders / Problem with the primer assembly
« on: December 03, 2011, 06:40:39 pm »
My universal in .45 ACP has been giving trouble for sometime now. There was a partial lockup or hitch in the area of the #48 Primer Slide Angle Lever. It would not pull through and if you felt the Lever, it was locked.  I would let off and pull again w/o problems.  Needless to say, this was annoying, so I finally looked at it.  It appeared the #48 Lever was returning too far against the stud in the housing (not numbered on the diagram).  I found a very small coiled gun spring and slipped it over the stud. This fixed the problem.  It couldn't be more than 1/32" spacer, but it was just enough. I thought about bending the stud but was concerned about breaking it off flush with the housing.  Anyway, I am in business. tt

We had Turkey Tetrazini for lunch, I hope that's the end of it!

It is also irritating to read Star-Phelps, when most of the time it's a Phelps.  It's like false advertising. I get the point. tt

You are right.  This is a bevel base (BB) anyway.  But it would be great production with 8 cavities. tt

There is an 8 cavity H&B mold # 130 BB on eBay right now.  Man I would love to have it but it is out of my price range.  What a beauty! tt

Can you supply a lid?  What about a shutoff valve?
Thanks, tt
