Most dies have a crimp built into them, if you are crimping with a crimp die in a nother station, it will not have a bullet seater in it, George.

Bruce is correct, i had Rich Daniels make me a 9mm Shellplate, i had to machine a few thousands off the O.D to fit the progressive press, the machine is set up in 9mm and works fine, George.

The Guys that cut down most Dies, usually use Lee Dies, it could be that they are easier to machine.

I just received some parts , including a shellplate in .223, from Richard Daniels, who is a member of this forum, Richards workmanship is superb, i highly recommed him for star parts, he makes several parts for Star machines, George.
