Stars Want to Sell/Want to Buy / FS Star reloader w/ .38 Special dies
« on: July 05, 2020, 10:16:15 pm »
I never did get the Star loader set up and finally decided I'd stick with Dillon as it's easy to set up for different caliber.  Having said that I'm ready to sell the one I bought about 10 years ago and never got set up.  It's supposedly all there, has .38 Special dies and a case hopper/funnel.  I'll sell it for $550 plus shipping.

This is a Universal machine with a taper crimp die.  The case feeder is  an MA Systems clone.

Star Lubricator & Resizers / Using a Star Luber after a 10 year break
« on: June 13, 2020, 07:37:08 pm »
I'm setting a Star up to lube some .38 caliber bullets and am getting too much lube coming out.  Some comes out in a glob in front of the bullet nose.  I plugged a row of holes but in hindsight I think I plugged the wrong row.  I plugged the bottom row and now think it was the top row that needs plugged. Doing this to match the bearing length of the bullet.

If anyone wants to give me a refresher course on setting up for a new bullet I'm all ears.

Star Reloaders / Star Loader set up questions
« on: May 29, 2018, 03:23:47 pm »
I bought a Star loader about 7 years ago from someone on this site.  I wasn't able to get a loading bench setup at my new house until two weeks ago.  The guy I bought the loader from disassembled it for shipment and now I'm having an issue or two getting it put back together.  Right now my issues are with the priming feeder system and the powder drop system.  What I could use is an expanded view diagram of each of those areas.  The standard diagram of the whole unit is a bit confusing to me trying to separate out the two sysems.  Is there one somewhere I might use to assemble the two sytems?

Oh, also first post from me.
